Ghana Premier League side Berekum Chelsea are planning to re-sign goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim on loan from Asante Kotoko.
Chelsea President Obed Nana Kwame Nketiah has confirmed to Sunyani-based Nimdee FM that his side have plans to engage Kotoko to open talks on securing the signature of former Ghana U17, U20 and U23 glovesman on another loan spell.
“We will engage Kotoko to see if they will be willing to release him [Danlad] to us on loan again or sell him to us outright,” he told Richard Ntow Gyan on Nimdee FM’s Total Sports show on Monday evening.
Danlad spent the cancelled 2019/20 season at Chelsea where he impressed followers of the league with his sterling performance for the Blues of Berekum.
Kotoko will consider farming out the Sunyani-born again as the goalkeeping department is already choked with the availability of regular stopper Kwame Baah and Felix Annan as well as Osei Kwame.
The President went ahead to disclose that his side will not embark on wholesale signings for the season.
“We will make strategic signings for the season. We won’t make wholesale acquisitions but will identify areas we will have to improve and strengthen with new signings,” he added.
