The District Health Director for the Afiagya Kwabre South in the Ashanti Region, Christiana Kontoh has stated that 5,406 persons have been vaccinated against Covid19 as at 10th March 2021.

Mrs. Christiana made this known in an interview with Kumasi-based Time FM station.

According to the health director, 238 cases of Covid-19 have been recorded, 232 recovered with 6 death recorded.

Mrs. Christiana further stated that people of Kwabre South are eager to get vaccinated, saying “ people were afraid that there is a negative impact on the vaccine but since the president was vaccinated publicly, they are now taking the vaccine and the citizen participation is very impressive”.

Mrs. Christiana called on the people of the Afiagya Kwabre South to observe the necessary Covid-19 protocols and also partake in the ongoing Covid-19 vaccination exercise, saying, “no one should be afraid and do away with any fear and panic”.
