Aduana Stars defender Farouk Adams will be arraigned before court in the coming hours.
The centre back will appear in a magistrate court in Dormaa after knocking down a police officer with his car, a car believed to belong to his girlfriend.
Adams has been in hot waters in the last two days.
The former Elmina Sharks defender got his contract expired at Aduana Stars before the start of the season but opted to help the Club at least for the first half of the campaign.
He is believed to have already secured a deal in the USA and is expected to leave in the coming weeks.
The situation could however delay his trip to the USA as he tries to settle things.
