Mr John Boadu- NPP General Secretary

Report from the Asuogyaman constituency in the Eastern region indicates that all incumbent constituency executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) except the youth organizer lost their positions in the just ended constituency election.

The election, which was between Paul Ansah and Pius Enam Hadzide’s factions saw each faction winning half of the positions. The NPP is preparing to defeat the incumbent NDC Member of Parliament (MP), Thomas Ampem Nyarko, in 2024.

The story was, however, different in the New Juaben North constituency as Kwadwo Boateng Agyemang, a businessman was re-elected chairman. Chairman Kudjo as he is affectionately known polled 281 votes to beat his two main challengers- Edward Asante Antwi who had 92 votes and Mr. William Amankrah – 127 votes.

Mr Oti Akenteng had 270 votes to take the position of the first vice chairman while Mr.BaahMarfo Nelson received 348 votes for the second vice chairmanship position.Mr Ishmael Owusu Afram garnered 288 votes to win the constituency secretary position while Mr  Richard Atwire had 325 votes to occupy the Deputy Secretary position.

Mr Ernest Nyarko polled 321 votes to take the Organizer position, with Mr Samuel Osei Sarkodie, and Dora Quashie taking the constituency Youth Organizer and women’s organizer respectively.Chairman Kudjo thanked the delegates for the peaceful manner in which they conducted themselves during the elections.

He congratulated all the contestants for their show of maturity, which to him, demonstrated their resolve to work together to retain the seat in the 2024 general election.
