Kotoko and Hearts of Oak settled for a goalless stalemate in the Super 2 clash on Sunday.
In a game which saw two big penalty saves, both teams created numerous opportunities but failed to utilize.
Kotoko missed a chance to take the lead as early in the 2nd minute when Kwame Poku’s penalty was saved by Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Richard Attah.
Hearts however looked the better side in the first half after Attah gave them a lifeline in the game, creating some decent opportunities.
The Phobians were however rewarded midway in the second half with a penalty but substitute Isaac Mensah fluffed the opportunity with goalkeeper Razak Abalora of Kotokp pulling out a big save to keep his side in the game.
Kotoko’s Kwame Poku, Mudasiru Salifu and Fabio Gama all missed huge chances as the game ended in a stalemate.
