As part of activities to secure a hundred percent votes for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the December elections, the Youth Wing of the party is introducing the ‘Boots on Grounds’ campaign in all constituencies across the country.

The purpose of the campaign is to highlight the achievements of the New Patriotic Party and project the party’s parliamentary candidates in all the 275 constituencies.

A release by Mr Henry Nana Boakye, National Youth Organiser of the party, indicates that the campaign encompasses streets campaigns, markets and church-to-church and mosque-to-mosque campaign.

There will also be door-to-door, lorry and taxi terminals, ghetto-to-ghetto, shop-to-shop, and toll booths campaigns.

“As part of the NPP National Youth Campaign, the National Youth Wing of the NPP is embarking on a nationwide campaign dubbed “Boots on Grounds Campaign” to highlight the achievements of the NPP government, led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, as well as project the various parliamentary candidates in all the 275 constituencies.”

According to Mr Boakye, all resources needed for the successful implementation of the initiative have been provided. He said motorcycles, T-shirts, face shields, NPP branded wrist bands, placards, and flags have all been provided.

He, therefore, called on regional and constituency leaders of the party, members of Parliament, as well as Metropolitan, Municipal and District chief executives, to support the campaign to make it a success.

Mr Boakye also indicated that though the programme would be held on the 12 of this month, it shouldn’t be a one-off activity. He said people should continue with it until the NPP is declared winner in the December 2020 polls.

“The National Youth Wing, therefore, calls on the leadership of the regional campaign teams, constituency campaign teams, all members of Parliament, parliamentary candidates, MMDCEs, etc, to support the regional youth wings, as well as the constituency youth wings, to make this programme/campaign a success.

“The National Youth Wing respectfully entreats that this programme, though scheduled to take place on Thursday 12th of November 2020, should not be a one-off activity, but should continue until victory 2020 is declared for the NPP, led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and all the 275 parliamentary candidates.”
