Growing Afro Highlife musician Premann, has bemoaned the neglect of Highlife songs by up-and-coming artistes.
According to Premann who is acknowledged in genuine lifetime as Ebenezer Acheampong, numerous up-and-coming musicians have joined the development of executing Dancehall, Afro-pop, Afro-fusion tunes genres, a scenario he explained stressing.
“It is a quite unhappy precedent which I do not wish to comply with. I am poised to direct the new motion of Afro-Highlife because I believe that I have the talent and I have learned from senior Highlife legends and I hope I can make an effect in the music sector.
“For me, highlife is not dead and it is up to us the new artistes to maintain its legacy. For me, Uncle Ebo Tawiah continues to be my most significant inspiration and is not giving up on Highlife until I attain the best,” he claimed in an interview.
Premann added that he would launch his to start with Afro-highlife project titled “Bu Wopa” on March 15 and entreats all highlife enthusiasts to anticipate this groundbreaking challenge.
